How does it work

The user is invited to send a keyword by SMS to a short code dedicated to the service publisher
Orange forwards the message to the service publisherr
The service publisher manages the message and sends a response SMS (link, code, etc.)
The user accesses their content

Consumer protection

Operators work with Af2m (The French Association for the development of Multi-Operator Multimedia Uses and Services) to offer an effective response against spam and abusive messages.
Use of the SMS+ service is governed by ethical charters, and many tools are made available to consumers:

make individual purchases, via an immediate transaction by sending an SMS to a 5-digit short code number and receiving another SMS in reply containing the service or an access code.

subscribe to services after having registrated an account with the publisher (by SMS or on a website) to receive content regularly.

Pricing structure

SMS+ is based on:

the user being billed for the transaction by the mobile operator
the service provider (contract partner) being reimbursed

The reimbursement depends on the price tier and the number of transactions billed to the user.

Reimbursement for premium SMS ranges from 63% to 75% of the amount billed to the user incl. VAT.

Pricing :

short code commissioning fees (excluding technical connection): €300 ex-VAT
monthly fee: €150 to 580 excl. VAT depending on pricing tier and short code category (Gold, Silver, Bronze, Nickel and Standard)
outgoing MT-SMS billing: €0.064 to €0.040 excl. VAT/SMS depending on number sent/month

Reserve your 5-digit short code with Af2m
Sign the SMS+ Special Terms and Conditions
Submit the planned service for operator approval
Sign a contract with each mobile operator and connect to their SMS sending platform
