Consumer protection
SMS campaigns are governed by an ethical code issued by mobile operators. Certain conditions are intended to further protect users, such as:
- not sending SMS promoting Adult content,
- sending mobile marketing SMS on working days between 8am and 10pm,
- indicating the “STOP” and “CONTACT” instructions in the body of the MT-SMS,
- providing clauses with customers reiterating ethical standards,
- obtain the consent of recipients to receive marketing SMS.

Technical connexion
- Before being able to send your messages to Orange customers via the SMS platform, Orange carries out a technical feasibility study to review whether you have sufficiently secure network equipment compatible with the exchange protocols provided by Orange
- Orange then connects your private network to the connection point made available in the Orange network.
Short codes
Orange offers a complete range of technical services linked to your short codes:
- Commission numbers
- Change sending rate
- Change IP address
SMS:
Orange sends your SMS-MT to Orange customers, meeting your commitments in terms of quality of service and consumer protection.
Additional options:
- For specific messages, Orange can offer a high speed connection of between 50 and 150 SMS/second
- To improve the performance of a marketing campaign, you can personalize the SMS sender field (OADC) so that the brand is recognized from the message header
Sign up to OPS
OPS is exclusively offered to SMS operators (aggregators, fixed network operators, internet service providers) carrying out SMS push campaigns on behalf of third-party customers (service publishers, advertisers).
To benefit from the offer, you must firstly:
- be declared with Arcep,
- connect your private network to Orange’s network,
- reserve your 5-digit short code with Af2m.
