France’s Association for the Digital Economy (known as ACSEL) is home to around 200 businesses and organisations (telecoms operators, technical service providers, online retailers, publishers and vendors of online services, etc.). Its purpose is to collectively consider the impact of emerging technology on changes in usage, behaviour and business models.
ACSEL’s work entails:
- identifying and understanding the digital challenges to be met,
- and supporting markets’ transformation to the digital economy
- and their buy-in of the drivers that digital technologies provide.
ACSEL in particular:
- proposes measures to build trust in the digital economy,
- runs a digital economy think tank,
- publishes background research.
