French Association for the Development of Multi-operator Multimedia Services
The French Association for Multimedia Services (AF2M) was formed in June 2005. It members include the main players on France’s mobile multimedia market.
Its founders were Bouygues Telecom, Orange France, SFR, GESTE and ACSEL.

AF2M’s aims are:
- Encourage the development of a multimedia content and services ecosystem, working in conjunction with all market players, including in the fields of mobile payment and marketing;
- Work towards developing a market that respects its consumers in terms of value-added SMS+ and Internet+ services (codes of conduct and inspections to ensure service vendors are following them), together with market players, governmental bodies and consumer associations;
- Manage SMS+ short code numbers and in particular, act as a centralised “booking” service for these numbers for service vendors.
- Create a forum for debate and dialogue between various players on the market
- Encourage the emergence of new usages;
