Founded in 1987, GESTE aims to create the economic, legal and market conditions required to develop electronic services and publishing.
GESTE is now a crucial forum in France for more than a hundred member companies, including the majority of professional online vendors and publishers in all areas (media, video, music, games and advertising) and the main pure players in the market.
Watchful of changes in the market and online content and services publishers, GESTE’s main purposes are:
- meet and discuss new business models for online publishing (editorial innovation, new technology tools, audience acquisition and monetisation, distribution and multiple screens, and online advertising),
- education and recommendations to institutions, businesses and the general public about the economic, technical and regulatory issues facing the sector,
- set up a lasting and fair ecosystem for online content and services publishers.
